I recently had the opportunity to photograph a dear friend, yoga teacher, Indra’s Grace studio owner, soul sister, Kira Grace Warrior and all-around extraordinary human being Sandra Vanatko at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. The fun part is that we did a yoga shoot here almost six years ago, so we decided it would be fun to recreate some of the original photos. This time, we had an extra helper in the form of my four-month-old son, Eli. Read the rest of this entry …

I know it’s been a looooong time since I’ve had anything to post here. I’m terribly sorry for the absence, but it has been for a good reason. Since I last posted, a lot has happened: I had the sweetest little baby boy who consumes almost every one of my waking moments (and I’m not upset about it), I left my “day job” at TCU and my husband and I officially relocated to Abilene, TX. I’m still not doing a bunch of photography but on the occasion that the stars align, I will sometimes squeeze a shoot in. This photo shoot was one of those. Read the rest of this entry …

For the past several years, I have had the privilege and honor of photographing many families and babies. It’s such a blessing to be able to capture these moments in time so that families can cherish them for years to come. Well, I am so excited to announce that my own family is expanding! My husband and I are so thrilled to welcome our first baby (a boy!) into the world this November. I know this is just the beginning of many, many photo opportunities and I look forward to every single one. This is the photo that we used to announce the exciting news to friends and family.

Baby Reitz

In anticipation of our new addition, I will not be taking on any new photography projects. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months. Much love! xoxo

It was a chilly and damp Sunday afternoon, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from all the smiles during this shoot! Becca and Travis (plus their two fur babies) are some of my favorite people on the planet. Why? Because they are my sister and brother-in-law! (I guess they have an unfair advantage.) 😉 On this particular weekend, we were blessed with quite a lot of rain. Read the rest of this entry …

For the past four years I’ve had the honor and privilege of traveling to Costa Rica with my yoga teacher, Sandra Vanatko, to help lead the retreat that she hosts at Blue Spirit Resort in Nosara. For the past two years, we’ve also had the pleasure of being accompanied by John Stockberger and Ben Allen whose contributions to the retreat cannot be overstated. I feel like I’m part of a Dream Team when I’m with the three of them! What a sweet family this is! I had so much fun on this photoshoot. Sweet little Breckyn was completely enamored with the horses. Once she caught sight of them, she wanted nothing to do with photos unless she could see the horses. So, we improvised and tried to make her happy. Read the rest of this entry …

We return again to some of my most favorite and loyal customers (who also happen to be dear friends and neighbors… makes it very convenient!). May I present the Ogle family’s holiday 2015 photos. It’s truly such a pleasure to photograph friends. It’s also fun to have watched Colbie (the little one) go from being a bump in Meagan’s belly to a sweet little ball of expression and sass! Words really don’t begin to express how much I love yoga and what an extreme honor it is to be able to photograph fellow yoga teachers. This is McKenzie. She’s amazing! We had such a great time taking photos in the equally amazing T&P station in Fort Worth. It’s historic and beautiful and provides such a breathtaking backdrop for photos. McKenzie was awesome! She moves with such grace that it’s hard not to be completely entranced when observing her. Read the rest of this entry …

This was another fun, fall shoot! I had the pleasure of photographing the McCabe family. They were so great! So many smiles and just a pleasure to work with. We walked all around the Rose Garden at the Botanic Garden. We hit a little road bump when their little one saw the fountain and wanted nothing more than to play in it immediately. But, in the end, everything was perfect and I’m so pleased with the photos we got. xoxo  Read the rest of this entry …

In October (I’m a little behind on posting…) I had the pleasure of taking photos for some wonderful friends of ours: The McFarlands. Lacey really wanted to find a pumpkin patch for Brock (the little one) to be photographed in. However, since it was the beginning of October, none of the pumpkin patches were open yet. So, we improvised! Well, Lacey improvised. She brought a whole trunk-full of pumpkins that she bought herself. That’s serious dedication! 🙂  Read the rest of this entry …
